Inheritance Growth: a Biology Inspired Method to Build Structures in P2P
نویسندگان
چکیده
IT infrastructures are becoming more and more difficult. Therefore, in the first industrial IT systems, the P2P paradigm has replaced the traditional client server and methods of self-organization are gaining more and more importance. From the past it is known that especially regular structures like grids may significantly improve the system behavior and performance. This contribution introduces a new algorithm based on a biologic analogue, which may provide the growth of several regular structures on top of anarchic grown P2Por social network structures. Keywords—P2P, Pattern generation, Grid, Social network, Inheritance, Reproduction

A Novel Caching Strategy in Video-on-Demand (VoD) Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Networks Based on Complex Network Theory
The popularity of video-on-demand (VoD) streaming has grown dramatically over the World Wide Web. Most users in VoD P2P networks have to wait a long time in order to access their requesting videos. Therefore, reducing waiting time to access videos is the main challenge for VoD P2P networks. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm for caching video based on peers' priority and video's popula...
متن کاملPROSA: P2P Resource Organisation by Social Acquaintances
P2P overlay networks have been deeply studied in the last few years. The main problems of such networks are resources distribution and retrieving. In this paper PROSA is presented. It is based on a novel adaptive algorithm to build an efficient and semantically searchable P2P system. This algorithm is inspired by human relationships, since social communities possess some interesting properties ...
متن کاملA development in the finite volume method for the crack growth analysis without global remeshing
Crack growth analysis has remained one of the challenging problems in the fracture mechanics of structures. On the other hand, the fatigue crack growth is a common phenomenon in the components of structures like airplanes, navies and fluid storages where the fracture due to crack should be considered in the design of these structures. In this paper, the finite volume method (FVM) is extended fo...

Peer-to-peer applications (P2P) are no longer limited to home users, and start being accepted in academic and corporate environments. While file sharing and instant messaging applications are the most traditional examples, they are no longer the only ones benefiting from the potential advantages of P2P networks. For example, network file storage, data transmission, distributed computing, and co...
